General description

The M7IX is a Modbus RTU slave module with 7 opto-coupled digital inputs and RS-485 communication. Available in two versions depending on the input type:

  • M7IX-L: 12–48 V AC/DC inputs.
  • M7IX-H: 230 VAC inputs.

Configuration is done via 10 DIP switches accessible under the cover (address, baud rate and parity) or through internal registers via Modbus for advanced settings.

Connections

Two module versions are available depending on the input type:

  • M7IX-L: Inputs can be AC or DC, from 12 V to 48 V.
  • M7IX-H: Inputs are AC only, from 100 VAC to 300 VAC.

All inputs share a common terminal. Being opto-coupled, galvanic isolation of over 1 KV is guaranteed between the communication bus and the input power supply. The power supply and communication bus are ESD protected up to 5 KV.
